A 61‑year‑old male patient was brought in by paramedics and a brigade of emergency situations with left‑sided thoracic impalement injury. The patient, who was in a road maintenance team, was impaled by a wooden block while driving his truck in a construction site almost 2 h before admission [Figure 1].
